Lakeside Guide to Lake Chapala, Ajijic, Mexico

Casa Colón Concept House

At a Glance

A restaurant/bar/cafe, shops & a three-room hotel form the concept behind this property on Cólon Street in Ajijic.

More Info

Casa Colón Concept House is a collective of shops focused on clothing and design, with an attached restaurant and hotel.

There are five stores: two boutiques with clothes, shoes and crafts; a store with famous copperware from Santa Clara del Cobre, Michoacán; and a small organic market.

The restaurant, Dharma, serves international and Mexican cuisine. The small hotel that’s tucked into the back of the property houses three rooms.

The refurbished building where the shops and restaurant are located is about 100 years old, but the hotel is in a brand new addition that just opened in spring 2019.

Several spots are currently open if you’d like to set up shop here.
