Casa Colón Concept House is a collective of shops focused on clothing and design, with an attached hotel.
There are five stores: two boutiques with clothes, shoes, and crafts; a store with famous copperware from Santa Clara del Cobre, Michoacán; and a small organic market.
The small hotel that’s tucked into the back of the property houses three rooms. The refurbished building where the shops are located is about 100 years old, but the hotel is in a brand new addition that just opened in spring 2019.
The restaurant Dharma used to be located here but moved to its own location near the malecón in November 2019.
Several spots are currently open if you’d like to set up shop here.

Aztec Dancer on Mezcala Island
Jaime Rodríguez stands on top of the fort walls on Mezcala Island, a half-mile stretch of land rising out of Lake Chapala, Mexico. A local indigenous group successfully used the island as a fortress against the Spanish during the War of Independence in the early 19th century.
There are two spaces available for additional shops at Casa Colón. They're currently filled by Casa Colón with some items for sale.
