This three-day festival celebrates the food, art, dance, and culture of the Purépecha people from nearby Michoacán.
Paola de Watterlo and local photographer Xill Fessenden and organize this annual festival celebrating the Purépecha culture, an indigenous group who live in nearby Michoacán.
The festival goes on all weekend long in the Ajijic plaza where you’ll find lots of artisans selling their goods, including ceramics, woodwork, textiles, and guitars from the world-famous town of Paracho.
Dance presentations, activities, and Michoacan-style food are served throughout the three days.
